The Albany Auto Group AAM Service Manager -Northway Toyota in Latham, New York

Description Northway Toyota is a President's Award winning Dealership. The Service Manager oversees all aspects of the Service Department and related operations and is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the department. The Service Manager is responsible for establishing sales and productivity objectives, and forecasting future performance. The Service Manager's highest priority is to satisfy Service Department customers while maintaining department profitability. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Service Manager include: • Supervising and managing the Service Department • Maintaining smooth and effective working relationships with other dealership departments • Establishing and maintaining a positive and comfortable working environment in the Service Department • Establishing financial and operational objectives (annual and monthly forecasts) • Managing the performance of the Service Department using such tools as the Daily Operating Control (DOC), dealership financial statement, efficiency and productivity worksheets, comeback report, warranty report, Owner First information, monthly forecasts, and other relevant reports produced by the dealership computer system. • Establishing, maintaining, and tracking compliance with job descriptions for all Service Department personnel • Recruiting, selecting, and training Service Department personnel • Conducting formal performance evaluations (appraisals) at least annually and evaluating personnel performance based on job descriptions and department objectives • Developing, implementing, and evaluating plans to increase department revenue and profits • Managing all Service Department training needs and compliance to State and local regulations • Performing other various duties as assigned- including but not limited building maintenance, safety and cleanliness. Salary with monthly bonuses is $125,000 to $150000 Requirements At a minimum, the Service Manager should have the following qualifications: • Basic product knowledge • Personnel management skills (good communication, coaching, and counseling skills) • Administrative skills • Knowledge and skill in planning, implementing, and managing marketing and merchandising activities • Customer relations skills • Ability to read, interpret, and properly evaluate R.O.'s; dealership financial reports; and employee and • department efficiency, productivity, and performance reports • Basic business math skills Additional Information Benefits available: Medical Insurance Dental Vision 401 (K ) Life Insurance LTD Paid Vacation / Sick
