CLARK COUNTY WATER RECLAMATION WRD Control Systems Engineer in Las Vegas, Nevada

POSITION: WRD Control Systems Engineer SCHEDULE: Regular, Full Time LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV 89122 SALARY:$41.26 - $63.96 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a field related to the work AND
  • five (5) years of full-time professional level experience in developing and modifying systems and programs for real-time process control or similar applications.
  • Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.
  • Working Conditions:Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.
  • Background Investigation:Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
  • Pre-Employment Drug Testing:Employment is contingent on the results of a pre-employment drug examination.

JOB SUMMARY: The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the WRD Control Systems Engineer position. This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Planning and directing the operation, security, and troubleshooting of comprehensive real-time wastewater operational technology (OT), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and process control systems.
  • Supervising and training programming, instrumentation, and operational staff performing all activities of the OT, SCADA, and process control systems.
  • Directing the development and acquisition of new and upgraded system hardware, firmware, and software for existing and planned facilities.
  • Developing and adhering to budgets related to the systems; administering professional services contracts; ensuring system design standards are followed.
  • Collaborating with administrative, operational, maintenance, and informational technology personnel to analyze processes, continuously improve systems, and provide customer service.
