About the Role:

Our client, a leading data center company, is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of telecommunications infrastructure within the data center environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom engineering, with a focus on data center operations, network design, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain telecommunications systems within the data center, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Manage and optimize voice, data, and video communication networks, including both wired and wireless systems.

  • Collaborate with network and IT teams to integrate telecom systems with existing data center infrastructure.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot telecom systems to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime.

  • Plan and execute upgrades to telecom systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Manage relationships with telecom vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly those related to data center operations and telecommunications.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of telecom systems, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams on telecom-related matters.

  • Stay updated on the latest telecom technologies and best practices to ensure the data center remains at the forefront of industry advancements.

    Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Telecom Engineer, preferably within a data center or similar high-availability environment.

  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, PBX, SIP, MPLS, and SD-WAN.

  • Experience with network design, implementation, and optimization.

  • Familiarity with data center operations, including cabling, power management, and cooling systems.
