We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the gaming industry, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing complex accounts payable functions and processes, ensuring accurate and efficient operations in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a high volume of accounts payable functions and processes

• Review and process all Accounts Payable (AP) invoices in a timely manner

• Liaise heavily with both internal and external customers for account-related matters

• Conduct coding of all invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage journal entries

• Process expenses and set up new vendor accounts as required

• Ensure accuracy in the General Ledger and carry out month-end close activities

• Utilize Sage Intacct for various accounting tasks

• Maintain and manage accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in maintaining and managing General Ledger

• Proficient in recording and managing Journal Entries

• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures

• Must have working knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
