American Homes 4 Rent Special Projects Coordinator in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Purchasing in the planning and execution of special projects related to property operations initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for vendors and responsible for investigating aged invoices, missing payments and other payment related reconciliations.

  • Ensures vendor compliance and manages vendor invoicing; Handles all inbound purchase orders and validates received invoices to existing inspection reports.

  • Receives, audits, and submits invoices to Accounts Payable for payment.

  • Interacts directly with Vendor Management to coordinate during instances of a vendor review.

  • Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.

  • Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (I2P2).

  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

  • Handles various other duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.

    Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role required

  • Previous experience in construction or property management preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Project management skills

  • Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal

  • Strong customer, quality and results orientation

  • Ability to learn and adapt new processes
