Overview

IGT Casino Systems R&D Team is looking for a dedicated, passionate, organized individual to drive and lead development of the in-game hardware in systems engineering. The ideal candidate will use their strong leadership experience to guide more junior engineers with cross-disciplinary teams, help define and track project milestones, and clear impediments on the road to success. This will be your opportunity to bring creative solutions, engineering acumen, and strategic planning to grow a dedicated engineering team.

Located in southern Nevada, with over 300 days of sunshine each year, Las Vegas is minutes away from outdoor recreational activities around Lake Mead and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Moreover, world-class entertainment opportunities can be found on the Strip.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in department strategic planning sessions

• Develop software used within a slot machine using a combination of C, C++, and C# programming languages

• Develop project objectives based on strategic goals

• Guide development of software created by junior members

• Design software solutions

• Author technical documents

• Define activities, sequence of events, and dependencies required to complete project

• Collaborate with other departments as needed for project and strategic objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of professional software development experience

• 7+ years of experience with C/C+• 3+ years of experience with C#

• Familiar with Agile software development processes

• 4 to 8 years of project or team lead experience

• Knowledge of the gaming or video game industry helpful

• Must be able to travel and obtain a gaming card

• Must be at least 21 years of age

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $86,538-$220,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
