Extruder Machine Operator

Job Description

Primary Function: To operate in a team environment in the manufacturing of specialty plastic compounds while consistently being efficient, clean, safe, and maintaining our high-quality standard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine production requirements by reading and implementing general and special instructions on each sales order.

• Review and apply the manufacturing bill of materials to each sales order.

• Prepare the raw material, including any related drying, pre-blending, or staging requirements by looking and planning.

• Prepare machine and equipment by looking and planning.

• Ensure all equipment, including upstream and downstream, is thoroughly cleaned in accordance with work instructions and/or other special instructions indicated on the production schedule.

• Set extruder operating parameters according to the manufacturing master reference set-up sheet.

• Prepare production run sheet records.

Shift: Days Monday - Wednesday

Hours: 5:40pm-6:00am
