This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Las Vegas, Nevada region.

What you get to do every single day

  • Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

  • Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

  • Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

  • Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

  • Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

  • Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties Requirements

The ideal Controller candidate should meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience with mid to large companies

  • Experience with complex accounting transactions

  • ERP experience

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Management experience

  • Public accounting experience is highly preferred but not a must have

  • CPA or MBA are highly preferred but not a must have
