Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical, operational, and nursing management oversight for Behavioral Services and be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care provided on the program

  • You will provide supervision of, assess, and evaluate the competence and performance of nursing personnel and maintain regulatory compliance at all times

  • You will determine staffing requirements and material resources necessary to provide care to the patients on the program

  • You will work effectively with the Program leader and Medical Director to monitor and evaluate program standards and guidelines and function as liaison between physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimum patient care

What qualifications you will need:

  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment

  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Master’s Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing or its equivalent from an accredited school of nursing preferred

  • Five years of psychiatric nursing experience as a registered nurse preferred

  • Three years of psychiatric nursing leadership experience preferred

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nevada

  • ANCC Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing preferred.

  • CPI Certification within 30 days of hire

  • American Heart Association BLS Certification current and active
