Entry Level Civil/Mining Engineer - Laramie, WY

As a member of our team, you will be involved with mine permitting and planning, regulatory compliance and reporting, reclamation design, field construction observation and reporting, surface and ground water quality, regulatory interactions, and meeting the mining clients needs to support their operations. You will interact with existing clients and develop relationships with new clients. Through your work, you will be integrated into a thriving team environment, developing projects and client relationships, and fostering employee growth.

Location This position may be based out of our Wyoming offices: Laramie, Sheridan, Lander, or Cheyenne.

Position Qualifications:

  • 0-5+ years of relevant experience
  • A bachelors degree in mining, geological, or civil engineering, geology or related field
  • Mine permitting and consulting experience preferred
  • Written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members
  • Technical reporting and writing experience
  • Environmental planning experience preferred
  • An Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T. or F.E.) or have plans to obtain your E.I.T. or F.E. within 6 months
  • A professional engineer (P.E.) early in your career or can obtain your P.E. in a timely manner
  • Experience in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D or related CADD programs (not required, but this experience will allow you to hit the ground running)
  • Good employment or academic history with a commitment to safe work practices
  • Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule
  • Reliable, team-oriented work habits
  • Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices
  • A clean driving record
  • Strong interpersonal skills
