Footprints is a Residential Treatment Facility providing a loving and supportive therapeutic environment for girls who are currently involved with the Ingham County Circuit Court 12-17 years old. This facility is a temporary home for up to 6 girls who are learning skills to become independent and earn their way out of the court system. Footprints is currently looking for a Coordinator of the Footprints program. The Footprints Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations and is a key leadership staff.

The Footprints Coordinator provides leadership and supervision to the staff team and residents in the facility. The Footprints Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining our professional relationship with the Ingham County Circuit Court to ensure referrals are screened and accepted based on appropriateness. The coordinator is responsible for reporting on and monitoring the progress of residents within the facility. Duties include on-site supervision, de-escalation and interventions to promote growth with the residents. Additionally, the Footprints Coordinator will be responsible for staff scheduling, and annual evaluations of staff. The Footprints coordinator will also ensure that each resident is actively working towards their treatment goals through programming, scheduling, and accountability. We are looking for a high energy, innovative professional who is committed to improving the lives of the girls served in the facility.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing day to day programming of Footprints including the resident schedule, outings, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Support onboarding of new staff and developing current staff including securing training and addressing staff needs.

  • Provide coaching and feedback to Footprints staff.

  • Coordinate referrals, staffing and intake for Footprints residents.

  • Administer weekly/monthly reporting to 30th Circuit Court Division/assigned Juvenile Court Officers

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring of treatment plans utilizing Child and Adolescent Functional Scale (CAFAS)

  • Responsible for overseeing treatment plans, observation/case notes.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be available during non-working hours for emergencies as needed

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of resident’s files

  • Comply with licensing regulations and coach staff to follow policies and procedures

  • Interact regularly with court staff, school district staff and families

  • Utilize a teamwork approach for all projects.

  • Promote Peckham’s vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer services to all team members, staff, customers and stakeholders.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

  • Other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct supervision of direct care staff

  • Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values.

  • Provide mentorship and coaching.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Per state of Michigan Child Care Institute licensing rules: Rule 120:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience in a child caring institution OR

  • Two years of college from an accredited college or university and 3 years of work experience in a child caring institution OR

  • A high school diploma and 4 years of work experience in a child caring institution

  • Passing and maintaining security background checks

  • Must maintain an unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and possess a clear driving record.

  • Experience working with female adolescents and/or at-risk population.

  • Experience with facilitating Cognitive Behavioral evidence-based programing.

  • Able to pass a health screen including verification of negative testing for communicable tuberculosis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with court involved youth.

  • Understanding of youth with disabilities and court involved youth and the barriers they face to self-sufficiency as they transition into adulthood.
