Oracle Digital Transformation Strategy Director in Lansing, Michigan

Job Description

The Digital Transformation Director is the global strategist and thought leader for Oracle’s Real Estate & Facilities (RE&F) organization. Role reports into the Global Engineering Center / Center of Excellence (CoE) team. Key role is to establish, define, translate, implement, manage and enforce global standards for the digital transformation of legacy systems and tools, and continued assessment of evolving technologies. Focus areas include automated, connected, data-driven systems, delivering innovative energy management solutions, space utilization tools and analytics, and an improved employee experience.

The Digital Transformation Director will lead a team of engineers in identifying, qualifying, designing, and managing the delivery of technology projects, and continually evolving RE&F’s systems and tools. This leadership position works with multi-disciplinary internal and external teams, to ensure Oracle establishes best in class systems, tools, training, and analytics.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic vision for digital transformation of Oracle’s RE&F organization and property portfolio.

  • Provide strategic guidance, thought leadership, and industry best practices to Oracle’s RE&F organization.

  • Lead a team of highly technical engineers, from the initial assessment of potential technologies, systems and tools, through the implementation of specific solutions.

  • Champion leading edge solutions across the enterprise, supporting multiple lines of business (LOBs), in addition to RE&F.

  • Act as industry change agent, including the development of innovative proposals, value proposition, socialization of that value, and end user training to ensure adoption and maximized value.

  • Develop proposals, payback scenarios, with quantifiable results, and develop budgets for capital planning year-over-year.

  • Partner with project management teams to review engineered electrical/mechanical/controls designs and ensure design supports a connected infrastructure strategy.

  • Support multiple integration/controls projects from startup to commissioning and participate in project meetings as required to support assigned RE&F PM.

  • Review Controls/Integration Engineering – Network Riser Diagrams, Sequence of Operations, I/O points lists, Startup/Commissioning Results

  • Supports proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot development, from concept to execution, and assesses overall effectiveness.

  • Lead the development of Digital Transformation Services guidelines and standards

  • Remain current with latest industry trends, peer organization best practices, and showcase for intra-LOB stakeholders and related Oracle LOBs (IT, R&D, etc.)

Background and Skills

  • Deep understanding of real estate industry technologies and solutions, especially in the areas of energy management, space planning & utilization, workplace experience, and asset management.

  • Vast industry knowledge (leaders, innovators) of IoT technologies, building automation, and energy management

  • Experience leading global teams, across multiple regions and countries

  • Experience with information security protocols and compliance measures.

  • Deep understanding of real estate technologies, building systems, technologies, and related topics, including:

  • Energy and Water Metering

  • BMS/BAS/SCADA

  • Smart Lighting/Smart Windows

  • Alternative Energy

  • Energy Management / IoT Software Platforms and Middleware Hardware

  • Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) solutions

  • Workplace Experience Apps

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solutions, with a focus on automation and analytics for asset maintenance and management

  • Universal Design principles, delivered through connected infrastructure and automation

  • Miscellaneous Systems: Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)

  • Building Controls Communication Protocols: Tridium Niagara, BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, Web Services, Mesh Networks, Zigbee, OPC

  • BAS Engineering Tools: Tridium Niagara, Modscan, BACnet Explorer, Wireshark, Visio, CAD, Revit

  • IT Skills: Microsoft OS Administration, IIS, IP Addressing, Servers, PC's, Firewalls, Switching, Routing, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, OSI Model, VLANS, VPN, IPSec Tunneling

  • Prior project management experience working in facility engineering/management, I.T., construction or energy management

  • Advanced degree in technology, engineering, business, or related field

  • Technical writing skills and experience

  • Experience in operational technology data & analytics

  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software

  • Previous experience writing processes, standards, and risk management documentation

  • Ability to present in front of stakeholders and executive management

  • Experience working with global, remotely distributed teams

  • Must be self-motivated and an effective team worker

  • Located within commute distance to an Oracle office

  • Regional travel as required (1x-2x/quarter)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
