Job Title: School Bus Driver

Reports to: Transportation Director

Summary: Responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, following predetermined routes and schedules. Ensures the safety and well-being of passengers while maintaining a clean and orderly bus environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a school bus in compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Maintain order among students during transport, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and cleanliness. Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding schedule changes

or incidents. Adhere to emergency procedures and protocols in case of accidents or other incidents.

Requirements:

Valid driver\'s license (CDL for commercial vehicles, if applicable) with a clean driving record. Ability to maintain focus and composure in stressful situations. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with students and adults. Physical ability to perform bus driver duties, including sitting for extended periods and

operating vehicle controls.

Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. First Aid and CPR certification (will train) AAA Defensive Driving Certification (will train)

Working Conditions:

Typically follows a school schedule, with mornings and afternoons reserved for school transport.

May involve occasional weekend or evening trips for school events or field trips. Requires adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
