CAES Lansdale is seeking a highly motivated Test Technician, a key role where you perform operational tests on highly complex electronic developmental and production components, subassemblies and systems involving a thorough working knowledge of advanced theory, instrumentation, measurement techniques and electronic circuit analysis. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports, summarizes findings and recommends solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities

Determines, sets up and operates a wide variety of standard test stands consisting of multiples of generators, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, PNA etc. and complex test equipment especially connected and set up for tests on highly complex sub-assemblies and systems in accordance with available instructions and specifications. Complies with standard test procedures and specifications to perform tests on highly complex electronic developmental and production components, subassemblies and systems. Verifies and analyzes test results. Troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts equipment so that their performance complies with test requirements, and that the quality of the product is assured. Determines when rework is necessary to ensure product compliance with specifications. Recommends changes in test procedures and specifications that will contribute to the improvement of testing efficiency and capabilities. Works from a variety of documents including test specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc. where complete information is frequently lacking or from general oral engineering instructions requiring technical judgment, initiative and experience. Instructs and gives technical direction to lesser-classified technicians. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate RF circuits working under a microscope to meet the electrical requirements. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED 2+ years experience tuning RF circuits as a Test Technician in a manufacturing environment or in the military. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware t at is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology Military Electronic Schools or Electronic Training from military Active Security Clearance Experience in defense or aerospace industry 4+ years experience as a Test Technician in a manufacturing environment or in the military. Should be able to setup and know how to operate a Phase Network Analyzer (PNA) or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) Hourly Range: $26.38 - $32.59 hourly (Lansdale, PA) Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
