Lockheed Martin Structural/Sheetmetal Technician (R1/SensorMod), F-22 - Level 3 in Langley Air Force Base, Virginia

Description: What You Will Be Doing

This position is located at Langley AFB, Virginia, supporting the F-22 Modification, repair, overhaul, and low observable aircraft production lines. Possible domestic and international travel maybe sometimes be required. Additional job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Modify, repairs, replaces and overhauls aircraft structural systems to ensure airworthiness.

Determines feasibility and method of repairing/replacing/restoring malfunctioning, damaged, or low observable components.

Work typically requires a detailed understanding of blueprints, aircraft drawings and low observable coating applications.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule.

This position is for a highly motivated person to be responsible for performing aircraft modifications, and low observable maintenance on all Lockheed Martin Platforms.

Must be able to read and interpret technical data.

Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have structural training/experience on military fighters/attack/bombers/cargo carriers, and helicopters, aircraft.

5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Sheet Metal Experience, and or Low Observable Coatings application experience and training,

5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Air frame and Power Plant, FAA certificate or equivalent 3 years experience

Able to read and interpret aircraft blue prints/drawings and technical instructions.

Have performed basic duties on sheet metal and composite components, to include riveting, grinding, drilling, fabricating, repairing, replacing. Use hand and power tools to cut, shape blend and smooth components for installing structural fittings on frames and bulkheads.

-Must possess strong teamwork skills, strong oral written communication skills, strong customer relation skills and the ability to work independently.

-Must have experience completing field level Technical Compliance, Time Compliance, or Aircraft Modifications such as TCTOs, or TCTDs.

-Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.

Desired Skills:

Depot/Intermediate/Organizational level, Aircraft Battle Damage Repair, Combat Logistics Support Squadron, or equivalent experience is desirable.

Experience on F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15, F-18, B-1, B-2, A-10 AH-64, UH-60, CH-53 or similar aircraft preferred.

Be able to apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

-Experience at a US military customer site

-Low Observable Coatings application experience and training,

Corrosion Control application experience and training,

Knowledgeable of Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs

-Ability to perform routine system troubleshooting, installation and repair.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
