SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Penn State Health Life Safety Manager, the Safety and Health Coordinator is responsible to assess, perform and oversee safety processes, including injury investigation, building safety and fire equipment inspections, indoor air quality, safety policy review, ergonomics, safety training, driver safety programs, designated respiratory fit testing, asbestos, noise monitoring, employee exposure control monitoring, safety committee, and monitor and document applicable safety processes for the safe delivery of care and regulatory compliance. This position collaborates with applicable entities clinical and non-clinical leadership regarding problem identification and resolution to improve safety and health.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of related experience or
Seven (7) years of experience in a related field managing related occupational safety and health programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience in a multi-hospital system preferred.
CMS Maintenance program knowledge preferred.
Knowledge and training in environment of care preferred.
