Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual labor in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public works, sanitation, utility operations, public buildings, and equipment; operates light and medium duty equipment and trucks up to 2 tons on a regular basis. Applicants must be able to perform and have the following essential functions and physical capabilities: Vision qualifying for a driver's license, communication skills to converse and understand instructions, sufficient hearing to insure safe working practices, read information, write reports and fill in forms, hand to eye coordination, good mobility for bending, walking, climbing ladders, etc., lift approximately fifty pounds, ability to hold and use hand tools for maintenance purposes.
