POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our team as our Part -Time Assistant Rodeo Coach. Our institutions provide the highest quality education and service excellence in an environment of care, support, mutual respect, and integrity. Our Part-Time Assistant Rodeo Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Rodeo Coach in providing program leadership for recruiting, instruction, and coaching of rodeo students for the Educational Rodeo Team. The Assistant Rodeo Coach works extensively with the Head Coach, students, faculty, staff, and various individuals and supporters of rodeo.

As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Part-Time Assistant Rodeo Coach will have high standards of professional and ethical conduct and is accountable for all aspects of the Rodeo program. The Assistant Rodeo Coach will aid the Head Rodeo Coach in the following: Recruiting, instruction, and coaching duties of all rodeo athletes. Participate in fund raising activities for the LCC Rodeo team and work with the Alumni Association to aid in establishing relationships that promote the sport of rodeo. Manage membership and eligibility in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) and the Rocky Mountain Region. And ensure rodeo students are making satisfactory academic progress towards graduation. Be comfortable in working with students of all skill levels and backgrounds. Supports the Head Rodeo Coach to prepare and maintain the annual budget as well as keep accurate financial records. Ensure all rules and regulations Lamar Community College and the NIRA are maintained, as well as policies, procedures, and laws relating to the sport of rodeo are followed. Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position. Provide proper care and management for the college owned and leased livestock used for rodeos and practice events including proper feeding and nutrition, doctoring, and transportation. Assist in maintain of all rodeo facilities and equipment, including rodeo arena and barns used for rodeo athletes. Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times as expected in the sport of rodeo. Submit attendance records, travel, and reimbursement requests in a timely manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 to 2 years rodeo experience Must hold or be able to acquire a Colorado commercial driver's license Deadline to Submit Application Material: This position will remain posted until the position is filled.
