Worshipped as the Aztec gods of fertility and long life, venerated for their powers of sustenance, corn masa and agave have been central to Mexican culture and cuisine since ancient times. Using authentic techniques, we prepare corn masa-based starters and Mexico City-style tacos that are bursting with regional flavors! Training begins July 11th for an opening date of July 18th. The hostess or host is the critical first impression of the restaurant, and is essential to the welcome, comfort and farewell for all of our dining guests. They are empowered to create memorable guest experiences and repeat customers to our Westin brand! Responsibilities Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu. Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management. Maintain proper set-up of dining room. Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to comprehend guests requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials.
