We are seeking a talented BI Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing our Business Intelligence (BI) strategy. You will be responsible for the entire BI architecture, from data acquisition and storage to analysis and presentation, leveraging Looker or Teableau capabilities alongside other industry-leading BI tools. Location: Remote, San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta, Miami, NYC, Northern NJ/Princeton, DC Metro Area/Northern Virginia: Remote, San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta, Miami, NYC, Northern NJ/Princeton, DC Metro Area/Northern Virginia Primary Responsibilities: Design and implement a scalable, secure, and future-proof BI architecture, utilizing Looker or Tableau as the primary platform Install, configure and maintain Tableau Server Environments Monitor Server Performance, troubleshoot issues & ensure availability and reliability Monitor and optimize server performance and ensure proper access controls and permissions Develop data models in DBT or LookML, optimize ELT/ETLs and data transformation, and integrate data warehouses and lakes with Looker or Tableau Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights using dashboards and reports alongside other relevant BI tools Ensure data governance, security, and quality standards are met within the Looker or Tableau environment and across the entire BI ecosystem Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation, while staying up-to-date on best practices for BI tools and design Mentor and guide junior BI developers and analysts on BI best practices and provide guidance on other relevant BI tools Experience with SQL, PLSQL, UDFs, Stored Procedures and Python Preferred Skills and Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in BI design and development Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices Either: Expert knowledge of Looker (including LookML development, data visualization, and administration) or expert knowledge of Tableau (including data model development, data visualization, and administration) Experience with integrating Looker or Tableau with various data sources Expert level experience with DBT Experience with Apache Airflow Experience with other leading BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Oracle) Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, Amazon Redshift) Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) Experience with data visualization techniques
