Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on line equipment such as pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, fillers, cappers, and labeling machinery. Additionally, you will handle basic plumbing repairs and improvements, welding/fabrication tasks, and assist with electrical repairs including 3-phase motors, sensors, and photoeyes. Your role will also include calibrating mixers, load cells, and compounding equipment, using hand and power tools, and generating purchase requisitions for necessary materials and parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment.

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on line equipment including pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, fillers, cappers, and labeling machinery.

• Conduct basic plumbing repairs and improvements.

• Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

• Assist with electrical repairs such as 3-phase motors, sensors, and photoeyes.

• Calibrate mixers, load cells, and compounding equipment.

• Use hand and power tools for various tasks.

• Generate purchase requisitions for materials and parts needed.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The work environment includes three positions, one on each shift: 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday), 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Sunday - Thursday). New hires are required to train on the 1st shift schedule for 2-3 weeks until they are fully trained. The facility is temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lit, providing a comfortable and efficient workspace.

This is based out of Lakewood, New Jersey.
