SLR Consulting Air Quality Engineer (Entry-Mid) in Lakewood, Colorado

SLR International Corporation is currently seeking a Project or Staff Engineer/Scientist with 0-3 years of experience in providing Air Quality-related support to industry to join our growing Denver and U.S. consultancy. Experience with database systems is preferred. The successful candidate will work with a strong team of engineers and scientists to support the oil and gas, mining and minerals, chemical manufacturing, power, and other industrial sector clients, with an emphasis on air quality database systems engineering and reporting work. This position offers room for growth and is designed for an individual as an entry level position looking to start a career in this exciting field. This full-time position requires an onsite presence at our Denver, Colorado office for part of the workweek and is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization.

Key Responsibilities

-Analyze industrial processes and operations to quantify air pollutant emissions -Provide air quality permitting and regulatory compliance support industrial clients -Prepare calculations using spreadsheets, databases, third party software, and process simulation software to quantify air emissions from industrial emission sources -Review federal, state, and local regulations to identify applicable requirements governing the operation of air emission sources -Prepare air quality permit applications to obtain authorization to construct and operate air pollutant emission sources -Manage tasks and communicate status with internal and external stakeholders -Prepare and use data management systems and tools to track compliance with permit requirements and air regulations and prepare compliance reports -Prepare proposals, reports and other written deliverables

Required Technical Skills and Experience

-Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical or Environmental a plus) or in other relevant technical science-related degree pro -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software -Valid driver's license and ability to travel by airplane or car

Compensation Range

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $60,000.00 to $75,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
