WorkSource Oregon Program Manager - Lake County in Lakeview, Oregon

The Program Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting volunteer Advocates. Advocates are trained citizen volunteers appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interests of children during their time in the foster care system. Trained volunteer\'s advocate for a safe and permanent home as expeditiously as possible, ensuring abused and neglected foster children receive strong and effective advocacy with focus on permanency. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum three years related experience and bachelor\'s degree OR equivalent combination of experience and education. * Must complete the CASA Volunteer Pre-service Training within six months of employment. * Successful completion of an employment and criminal history background check. * Possess a valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation. * Proficiency with PCs, Google, Social Media Accounts, Databases, and Microsoft software products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated to manage numerous projects at once. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Aptitude for public speaking and for successfully engaging the interest of audiences. * Maintain professional appearance and manner. DUTIES: * Responsible for the recruiting, screening, and interviewing of new volunteers. * Plan, organize and carry out the biannual training for new volunteers. * Plan, organize and attend volunteer in-service trainings. * Compile, update and maintain the list of training opportunities available * Maintain confidentiality and process highly confidential information appropriately. * Help develop initial and on-going strategies for advocacy. * Volunteer supervision and support. * Community outreach to include inter-agency cooperation, relationship building, and representing CASA at community meetings and events. * Additional duties as assigned. SALARY RANGE: * \$18 - \$20 per hour, depending on experience. SCHEDULE: * 20 hours per week. * Flexibility with work schedule and court processes. Position may include evening and weekend hours to accommodate training and community events.
