Summary

Provide professional leadership, oversight, and expertise in managing IGT’s EHS programs. Responsible for the effective development of standards, programs and processes related to EHS to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in creation and maintenance of the emergency response plans including business recovery, security, safety, HVA, and spill response

  • Perform Internal Audits and inspections covering safety, ISO14001 Environmental Management, and various security controls

  • Maintain reportable and non-reportable injury information, maintaining the OSHA 300 report

  • Implement new monthly sustainability tracking and reporting system supporting Corporate Sustainability reporting and Carbon Neutral Program

  • Audit data collection systems for accuracy and integrity

  • Assist in the creation/revision of procedures, work instructions, and forms used within the Company

  • Data collection, data analyzing, data reporting, and communicating results to sr. management team

  • Maintain monthly environmental and material usage tracking/reports

  • Maintain monthly utility tracking and reporting

  • Promotes EHS awareness and fosters this awareness throughout the company

  • Conduct Environmental, Sustainability, and Safety related training

  • Active leader of the IGT Safety Committee

Requirements

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference in Occupational Safety & Health or an EHS related major

Experience Required

  • 7 years of experience in the EHS field with 3+ years in leadership

  • 2-4 years of experience managing an EH & S program required

  • 2-4 years of experience working in an ISO9001/ISO14001 environment preferred

  • 2-4 years of experience with emergency management and security preferred

Skills Required

  • Proven ability to lead the development and implementation of strategies and projects that result in increased EHS performance throughout the company

  • Proven ability to develop and support programs that lead to the integration of EHS into daily operations.

  • Experience using behavior-based programs and safety culture programs to raise awareness

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Must be able to travel within and outside the US

  • Previous experience conducting Internal Audits required

  • Qualified internal auditor for ISO9001:2015 and/or ISO14001:2015 preferred

  • Must be able to create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs

  • Proven ability to manage environmental programs with an emphasis on chemical management and environmental regulatory permits

  • Physical requirements: Must be able to stand/walk for 30% of the day

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
