The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sample management duties related to quality products to support the rest of the QC group. Additionally, this role will assist in various tasks on the production floor to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspect incoming raw materials, verify lot and product numbers, document production goals, and audit manufacturing processes and documentation.
Responsibilities
Manage samples related to quality control products.
Work on the production floor to ensure all filler operators follow SOPs correctly.
Inspect incoming raw materials for quality assurance.
Verify that lot and product numbers match with bottle numbers.
Document production goals across 9 manufacturing lines.
Audit documentation and manufacturing processes.
Collect samples from production lines for testing and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in Science, Chemistry, or Biology preferred.
Candidates with degrees in Material Science, Physics, or Geology are also considered.
Relevant experience in QC is acceptable for non-degreed candidates.
Entry-level science graduates with either Associate's or Bachelor's degrees are preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in the Lake Villa production facility within a new QC group. Historically, the QC group was based out of the Mount Prospect site, but the group is expanding and moving some QC work closer to production in Lake Villa. The candidate will start working in the staging room and then move to the manufacturing floor. Manufacturing runs 9 lines, all on the first shift. The QC team consists of 7 members, with opportunities for promotion to the QA/Regulatory department after one year. The company follows FDA and GMP guidelines. The first shift runs from 8am-4pm, with occasional Saturday or second shift work required once a month. The work environment adheres to professional standards and safety protocols.
