The District Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations in multiple clinics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drives excellence in business, clinical, and financial operations in the region through data analysis and strategic planning

  • Creates a culture where staff are engaged, challenged, and efficient in carrying out job responsibilities

  • Builds a high performing team with high morale and addresses performance issues quickly and decisively

  • Partners with clinical leadership to ensure compliance with all clinical policies and training programs

  • Work with senior leadership to make decisions on new processes, and initiatives

  • Developing strategies to drive volume and meeting monthly targets

  • Manage staff schedules, approve timesheets and PTO requests where necessary

  • Provide effective training, coaching, and feedback. Create developmental or performance improvement plans as needed

  • Solves problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive, productive approaches utilizing internal support functions

  • Identifies measurable performance standards to improve clinic performance

  • Understands the site’s challenges and productively facilitates communication and involvement of other functional areas (People Team/HR, IT, Facilities, etc.) and resolution

  • Monitor staff utilization to measure resources and request additional staff when necessary

  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with supervising physicians

  • Provide on-going training and mentoring for staff

  • Coordinates and communicates across offices and shares best practices with peers

  • Implementation of new services in the offices

  • Assist in the development of new offices as needed

  • Participation in community events and marketing initiatives

  • Coordinates and communicates across offices and shares best practices with peers

  • Training Office Managers

  • Traveling to Satellite locations as needed and determined by Sr. Director and Executive Leadership

  • Managing referral integration

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in management, operations, and leadership

  • Excellent managerial, organizational and negotiation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role

  • Energetic and eager to manage multiple activities and priorities

  • Solid conflict resolutions skills

  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees

  • Excellent communication skills including presentation and oral speaking skills (must be comfortable speaking in front of an audience)

  • Solid understanding of financial management, expense review and approvals

  • Ability to multi-task and perform in stressful situations

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs, especially in the following:

  • Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.

  • Microsoft Word i.e. draft various letters, documents, operational summaries, etc.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint i.e. create slide presentations for operational meetings and is able to demonstrate competent presentation skills

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed and work extended hours during clinic openings

  • Ability to alternate weeks being on-call with other Regional Director(s) of Clinic Operations

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
