FFP Senior Accountant in Lake Mary, Florida
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-minded Senior Accountant to help us run our business with financial clarity and confidence. Your job duties will include overseeing our financial planning by ensuring the accuracy of our financial information, preparing financial reports, maintaining our general ledger, and optimizing our business with data-driven recommendations. Analyze and report on our company’s financial information, including financial transactions, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
Perform regular financial administration, and financial reporting, and keep all financial records, financial documents, and accounting systems up to date
Participate in strategic planning and budgets
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash flow management, and account reconciliation
Capability to analyze financial reports and records, both complex and simple
Reconcile, review, and report daily cash activity and positions
Reconcile company balance sheet accounts
Participate in month end close procedures
Maintain and review fixed assets and record depreciation
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Support any financial and tax audits performed
Coordinate complex projects and initiatives between accounting and company departments
Collect cost information and maintain the expense databases. Determine fixed costs and plan and record variable costs. Analyze and report profit margins. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies and variances. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Review and reconcile monthly inventories. Perform analysis to assess and reduce waste. Facilitate improvement of product turnover, rationalization of inventory SKUs, and profitability analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or related field required; CPA preferred
5+ years experience of Financial & Accounting knowledge, including preparing financial statements
Solid understanding of actual cost accounting
Experience with accounting software programs and reporting tools
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Excellent skills in Excel are necessary
Highly Proficient in time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to solve problems using analysis, technical, and organizational expertise
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong work ethic and motivation to excel
