The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest, Illinois site location in the Rapid and Molecular Diangnostics IT division.

As an IT Business Relationship Manager, you’ll have the chance to work closely with Quality, Regulatory and R&D business partners and IT functions to develop and maintain comprehensive business capabilities for the Rapid Diagnostics business units. The IT BRM will work with the business stakeholder groups to understand people, process and technologies required for advancing the Quality, Regulatory and R&D portfolio of enterprise IT systems . The role is responsible for identifying solutions to meet evolving business needs, eliminating redundant systems and processes, and automating operations to deliver business efficiencies.

What You’ll Work On

  • Collaborate and maintain strong business relationships with business and IT functions.

  • Align stakeholders' objectives with Corporate and Business Unit priorities to ensure cohesive project direction.

  • Translates business strategy to an aligned IT strategy and portfolio of programs, projects and applications.

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity to apply IT for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.

Strategy & Alignment:

  • Oversee IT portfolio management to align with organizational goals.

  • Assess complex business challenges to provide strategic insights to stakeholders.

  • Understand the specific challenges and opportunities linked to the regulatory, legal, and economic situation of the business unit.

  • Maintain awareness of evolving quality, regulatory and clinical requirements specific to the business and influence the IT stakeholders and vendors in addressing this evolution in the most efficient way.

  • Shape demand through strategic planning, business value assessment and investment strategies.

  • Develop roadmaps to guide long-term program trajectories.

Planning and Execution:

  • Manage projects across business units and divisions when applicable. from initiation to closure ensuring timely delivery.

  • Design business solutions that address process gaps and requirements.

  • Coordinate delivery efforts to meet project milestones and objectives.

  • Oversee IT budget, project capital/RCE expenditures

  • Facilitate resolution of operational issues ensuring acceptable system testing and timely deployments in collaboration with IT and external vendors to help operations conduct business more effectively.

Compliance and Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory, corporate, and quality standards.

  • Maintain robust cybersecurity, privacy, and security protocols.

  • Supporting multiple internal and external audits throughout the year

  • Maintain system protocols by implementation policies and procedures in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in computer science, business administration or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years in the management and delivery of Quality, Regulatory & R&D Solutions.

  • 5+ years of Quality Systems/Validation Expertise in a regulated industry.

  • Broad IT or business expertise in various disciplines like system development and infrastructure.

  • Additional experience in setting IT or business strategy and business IT alignment.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience leading teams - both with direct staff and indirect project teams.

Minimum Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT or business experience in large or midsized multinational/Global Health Care organization.

  • Management Information Systems (MIS) degree

  • Strong interdisciplinary, and excellent intercultural influence, and networking skills.

  • Business experience with GxP validation, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D processes.

  • Experience with data privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and secure lifecycle (SLP)

  • Experience with vendor management. Evidence of participation in strategic industry forums.

  • Business unit relevant business process knowledge, as related to IT.

  • Deep knowledge of all technologies used or to be used by the Functional area; Quality, Regulatory, and R&D.

  • Strong influence and negotiating skills.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
