The Opportunity

The Business HR Coordinator will provide operational and consulting support for the Core Diagnostic business HR team in key areas including:

  • Reporting and analytics

  • HR processes/annual cycle management and support

  • HR project portfolio coordination

  • Ad-hoc functional HR project participation and contributions

  • Effective use of Abbott’s HR Operating Model

The role requires a demonstration of expert collaboration and communication skills within a fast-paced team environment, with a focus on delivering in areas such as: preparing reports and presentations on HR initiatives and data results, project coordination, and presenting and partnering with BHR team on explaining findings and impact to people managers and/or leadership. The role can provide the experiences considered in growing and building a career in human resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the preparation of key HR metrics to support business leadership needs (e.g., service milestones, onboarding completion rates, employee engagement participation, etc.).

  • Engages with BHR to draw insights from data and HR projects across CoreDx to provide finding and recommendations for future initiatives, ongoing improvements and achieve expected outcomes with a focus on sustainability.

  • Leverage’s command of Abbott’s HR model to provide support to BHR team on key annual activities including annual goal setting, talent management, performance assessments and reward planning tracking; including exposure to supporting business managers as defined or assigned for follow-ups, or specific direction.

  • Serves as project coordinator across CoreDx HR projects and initiatives, gathering updates from project leads, maintaining standard metrics/measurements and internal reports to analyze, track, and report on the impact of HR initiatives across CoreDx on a monthly basis to HR leadership.

  • Partners with BHR on variety of identify projects in areas such as job description maintenance, career paths/hierarchies, and employee data management; provide analytical and consultative support as assigned, including initial and post-implementation data pulls, analysis, reviews and recommendations.

  • Identifies opportunities to utilize HR practices, tools to align and achieve CoreDx business HR priorities.

  • Coordinates projects, presentations, and reports for HR leadership and team as appropriate.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Complies with company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Receives general direction and exercises discretion as to work details and execution, formulates conclusions and proposes actions.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources such as generalist or HR specialist roles (e.g., HR project management, performance management, compensation, training/learning, employee relations, recruiting, service center, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Workday or similar experience with another HRIS system experience required.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and navigating ambiguity. Demonstrated ability to take appropriate decisions, communicate effectively and focus on continuous improvement outcomes.

  • Experience working in matrix environments and successfully delivering results through collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in human resources with minimum 2 years in a HR generalist or HR business partner role.

  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Workday, HR data analytics, PowerBI dashboards, and metrics presentations strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.

  • Experience with data analytics and translating quantitative and qualitative data into meaningful and actionable information.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business acumen and interpersonal savvy to influence others.

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
