The Role:

Responsible for assisting daily operations and overall business objective as well as to sell VIP options in advance for every show at House of Blues Orlando. To present on night of show to upsell available VIP inventory. Serve as VIP host in the Music Hall on night of show to maintain constant communication with staff and clients to ensure that guests receive highly personal service and the highest level of standards at all times.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Sales experience, guest relations experience & problem solving

  • Skill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacy

  • Must be able to work evenings

What You’ll Do:

  • Giving proper recognition to VIPs, instill appreciation for their patronage

  • Be present for shows to upsell available VIP inventory to concert guests

  • Serving as a resource of information for all guests regarding their experience within the House of Blues venue.

  • Helping all positions and communicating effectively with others to enhance guest experience

  • Maintaining contact with Manager, Bar Staff, and Server regarding the arrival of all guests

  • Constant observation of VIP areas to ensure guests are always receiving highly personable service

  • Exhibiting articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with audience

  • Presenting exemplary and professional appearance

  • Anticipating guests’ needs and providing superior service

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Required to occasionally work Special Events scheduled throughout the venue

Preferred:

  • College Degree

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
