Job Description Summary

The Customer Program Quality Leader will ensure compliance and improve quality products by driving product, process, and system quality improvements. You will develop the customer relationship related to quality matters and ensure that the product, processes, and quality measurement systems align with the customer and program needs. You will lead projects and processes to minimize risk of inferior quality with a focus on impact to the customer. You will interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, engine program teams, and product lines on quality issues.

  • Ensure product quality through implementation of proactive quality tools.

  • Own quality assurance, control, and response for assigned customer.

  • Manage conformance of manufacturing goods, contractual requirements, and customer deliverables

  • Lead complex root cause and corrective action investigations to address and eliminate customer disruptions to close issues with the customer.

  • Influence cross-functional teams within the supply chain to solve problems, address risk, and manage non-conformances.

  • Own of Customer and Program Quality Plans including reactive and proactive actions

  • Participate in the Program Control Board

  • Direct quality communications with external customers and across the organization (including leadership) including WOR/MOR

  • Provide program support for internal quality teams as well as source quality teams.

  • Relay voice of customer feedback to internal teams

  • Stay informed of industry trends that may influence work and business needs / processes.

  • Utilize strong commercial awareness to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college + a minimum of 5 years of Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management or Engineering experience

  • OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management or Engineering)

Desired Characteristics and Experience

  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods

  • Experience in a customer facing role.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean concepts and application to transactional roles

  • Ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

  • Able to offer innovative solutions to problems outside of set parameters.

  • Ability to utilize multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​

  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​
