Position Purpose: The Buyer II will have existing procurement experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Title: Buyer II Position Type: Full Time Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Location: Lafayette, CO

Job Responsibilities: Support and coordinate the purchasing activities in procuring materials and services. Complete purchase order packages to meet company and government requirements. Negotiate Terms and Conditions, NDA's with vendors and work with legal on proposed changes. Work with internal circuit board team to develop new suppliers and evaluate shop capabilities. Support negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities to achieve the best price, quality, and schedule Work with circuit board team to determine which supplier is the best fit (Tiering system, shop capabilities, production capacity) Recommend more efficient and proficient processes. Analyze and interpret detailed information; make sound and accurate judgement based on this information and previous knowledge. Maintains liaison with suppliers and internal organizations to prevent program delays Set and maintain accurate item lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectations. Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance to quality standards. Work with Suppliers to resolve quality issues. Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, and Accounting to meet business needs. Provide purchasing and expediting support to the company for critical material shortages Review open orders for critical parts on a regular basis to avoid last minute expedite Maintain accurate lead times for assigned commodities and report purchase order supplier commitment due dates and due date changes to the company Lead and attend program and supplier meetings as required Comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), ensures adherence to requirements and advises management and compliance organization on needed actions Process and verify Non-Disclosure Agreements and Terms and Conditions with suppliers as required Work with engineers and suppliers for Part Change Notification and End of Life purchases. Working knowledge of Fixed Price and basic Cost / T&M contract types Assist with monthly inventory cycle counts and year-end cycle counts for 3rd party material Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education: 5-8 years of work experience in Purchasing role within manufacturing environment. MRP Experience, SAP/PRISM experience preferred. Must have a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Must be able to understand/read engineering drawings Experience in procurement of electronic components, prints circuit boards (PCB), print circuit board assemblies (PCBA's) preferred. Excellent MS Excel skills, must have experience in Excel creating tables, formulas, and organizing data into a presentable format. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance Experience working in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure the organization's needs are met while managing purchasing process procedures Experience in procurement and/or vendor contract management is preferred Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-motivated, and be able to drive a process from start to finish Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal, organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities, and exceptional informational analysi Excellent scheduling and time management skills Exhibits a high level to attention to detail Ability to thrive under pressure Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
