An FPGA Architect to join their Hardware Development Organization to develop next-generation systems for use in High-Speed Ethernet, 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, Autonomous Vehicles Test equipment.
Architecture development, design, and verification of digital circuit designs using FPGAs.
Preparing specifications and documentation of designs.
Study custom requirements and evolving standards.
Implementation, optimization, simulation, and debugging of high-speed functions for ASIC and FPGA technologies.
Collaborate with system-level and design engineers during implementation and verification to meet time schedules.
Support and collaborate with other disciplines such as Firmware Engineers and Hardware Engineers.
Champion best practices and design craft in Verilog-based FPGA design development.
Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science), or equivalent work-related experience, with 8+ years of hands-on practical and relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred.
Experience and deep knowledge of Xilinx FPGA Development tools preferably at speeds greater than 300Mhz.
Verilog, system Verilog implementation, design, documentation, and verification experience.
Proficient in standard hardware engineering best practices.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with high-speed serial communications, high-speed ethernet, and network interfaces and protocols.
Understanding of version control best practices and tools.
Experience working with peers in geographically remote locations.
Structuring, writing, documenting, and troubleshooting firmware to support system integration.
Firmware design and implementation using C/C++.
Python script programming.
Built-in self-test development.
Integration of vendor-provided device drivers with custom hardware.
Functional test of developed code.
