This position will be hybrid; working from the Palmetto Office Park in Ladson as well as working from home.
Schedule:
Primarily Mon-Fri, Days, but may require flexibility to support specific projects.
Job Summary: This position provides overall project management for technology infrastructure projects. The primary function of this position will be to plan, schedule, and track core infrastructure technology projects within the IT Infrastructure department. Areas covered include, but are not limited to, upgrades or new installations of desktop, server, telecom, and network infrastructure hardware and software. The Project Manager will develop and maintain a standardized project methodology, including project approval, scope definition, requirements definition, project plan, budget management, risk assessment, change management, and post-implementation assessment. This position works with system users, vendors, partner health systems, and IT staff to determine system specifications, develop work plans and schedules, and manage implementations.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education and Experience: Associate degree with 4 years of healthcare IT and 2 years of project management experience in healthcare IT setting (total of 6 years’ experience) - OR - Bachelor’s degree with a combination of 4 years of healthcare IT to include at least two years project management experience in healthcare IT setting (total of 4 years’ experience).
Licensure/Certification: PMP Certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills: Must have a working knowledge of healthcare systems, client-server environments, Windows desktop environments, networking principles, relational database concepts, and web-based application concepts. Must have knowledge of system life cycle development. Must have knowledge and skill utilizing critical thinking techniques in resolving issues. Must be able to translate technical requirements and procedures into well-implemented business solutions. Requires excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Must possess a thorough understanding of project management methodologies in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
Experience implementing project-related changes into a 24x7 production environment.
Experience with IT data center technologies, such as server hardware and operating systems, storage, backup, and monitoring solutions.
Experience with networking technologies and equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Experience with telecom technologies, such as desk phones, cellphones, faxing, SIP routing, PBX, collaboration, and conferencing solutions.
Experience with end-user computing technologies, such as desktop hardware and operating systems, thin-client technologies, end-user computing management tools, and end-user support processes and procedures.
