Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the construction/contractor industry, based in Ladson, South Carolina. The Bookkeeper will be an integral part of our team, managing customer applications, maintaining records, resolving inquiries, and monitoring customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Maintenance and updating of customer credit records

• Handling and resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Performing account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy

• Management of accounts payable and receivable

• Performing bank reconciliations

• Data entry and management in Microsoft Excel

• Assisting in month end close procedures

• Processing and managing payroll using QuickBooks Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or similar role in the construction/contractor industry

• Proficient in using financial software, preferably QuickBooks

• Excellent understanding of account reconciliation processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial analysis

• Experience with handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with payroll processing and related tax procedures

• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of bookkeeping.
