Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented contract bookkeeper for a company in Lacey, WA. The successful candidate will have in-depth experience and understanding of QuickBooks Desktop, will be tasked to oversee our financial data and compliance, by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the company

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements

• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable process

• Complete bank and other account reconciliations

• Manage payroll process and provide accurate reports

• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Quickbooks Desktop

• Coordinate with the CPA for tax return preparation and annual audits

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements

  Requirements

• Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience

• Minimum of three years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment

• Extensive knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Desktop is essential

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Google suite

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost-control principles

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
