Job Description

Our Higher Education client in San Diego is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee the implementation of an enterprise event scheduling software, which plays a role in the "Campus Activation" project. The Campus Activation technology workstream includes multiple enterprise systems to enable the campus activation infrastructure, namely the Event Management Enterprise System (EMES), Campus Calendar, UC San Diego Mobile App Refresh, and Student Organization Management (event approval and registration functions). Significant progress has been made on the first three projects and we are at a critical stage with both EMES and the Campus Calendar. This Project Manager position is critical to the success of the project and the ability to launch as soon as possible.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

1. Facilitate and drive procurement process

2. Facilitate and lead the creation of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

o Engage team and stakeholders to populate the WBS, including estimates

o Manage and track tasks across cross-functional teams

3. Develop and direct detailed timelines, identifying necessary milestones and dependencies

4. Manage project budget, develop or facilitate budget requests and reports

5. Manage allocations, estimates, and schedule

o Identify and escalate resource gaps based allocations, estimates, and schedule

o Model and present alternate scenarios as needed to achieve the desired outcomes

6. Drive and manage completion of a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and scope

7. Identify and resolve risks, issues, and decisions; escalating as appropriate

8. Prepare for and facilitate governance meetings, including the resolution of outstanding risks, issues, and decisions

9. Manage vendor relations and communications

10. Consult on change management program

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of project management experience, previously managing complex ERP / SaaS implementations

 Experience working in Higher Education or similar industry

 Ability to liaise between several cross functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders

 Technical knowledge of interplay between SaaS products, cloud computing, on prem and custom software; customization vs configuration; different types of integrations null
