Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely for our employees. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time.

• Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.

• Process and submit payroll taxes, including federal and state withholding and unemployment taxes.

• Handle inquiries and requests related to payroll from employees and management.

• Ensure payroll transactions are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.

• Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
