At Nyco Products, the Maintenance/Facilities Tech is a very important position. Constantly on the move, youll be responsible for set-up and adjustment of equipment including disassembly of components with an eye for identifying worn or damaged parts, and preventative maintenance of working equipment . If it looks wrong, it probably is. If the product doesnt match the work order, youre on the phone. If safety and security are sacrificed, youre solving the problem. If its messy, you have it cleaned up. If its not square, its not right, and you wont stop until it is. This position handles light building maintenance as well, taking responsibility for making the workplace organized, clean and attractive.

Maintenance/Facilities Tech Essential Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for set-up and adjust equipment in course of duties, to assure accurate and efficient completion of production.

{=html} <!-- --> - Replaces, repairs, realigns components to permit proper function of equipment.

{=html} <!-- --> - Make recommendations for improvement to equipment for process ability, productivity, uptime, safety, or quality of operation.

{=html} <!-- --> - Performs preventive maintenance and lubrication of equipment to assure reliability and extend operational life.

{=html} <!-- --> - Work with production personnel to demonstrate and instruct on the proper use and operation of equipment.

{=html} <!-- --> - Perform work assigned in accordance with company production standards and rates.

{=html} <!-- --> - Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area as established by plant policy.

{=html} <!-- --> - Must adhere to all company safety and health policies.

{=html} <!-- --> - Utilize company equipment with the proper use and care.

Maintenance/Facilities Tech Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of computers including MS Office applications
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
  • Some general experience with working with electricity and electrical devices.
  • Experience with industrial/machine shop repair and upkeep.
  • General knowledge of general building maintenance, such as groundskeeping, paint, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and explosives.
