Axient Construction Engineer in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

Axient is currently seeking a Construction and Facility Engineer to support our customer on Kwajalein Island, Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) . Anticipate this project to last for up to one year.

What you will do...

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a Construction and Facility Engineer and Project Manager for the Deputy Chief of Staff Engineer (DCSENG), United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) on Kwajalein Island, Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI).

  • As a System Engineering and Technical Assistant (SETA) contractor oversee the cost, scope, schedule, and performance of Army and other DoD construction efforts throughout the Kwajalein Atoll.

  • Support the planning and execution of installation logistics capabilities and engineering activities in support of the Reagan Test Site (RTS) mission.

  • Support the coordination, development, review, and approval of analyses and work orders related to the integration of RTS mission activities.

  • Support various public works and program management efforts, as directed related to the integration of all support required to enable the RTS mission.

  • Provide status to Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and program leadership as required.

  • Coordinate and facilitate contract work orders and develop methods to prioritize work.

  • Coordinate with the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein and other SMDC stakeholders daily.

  • Conduct high-priority Quality Assurance (QA) activities in conjunction with the Department of Public Works (DPW).

Skills you will need...

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance with current investigation. DoD security clearance requires US citizenship.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Industrial, Materials, etc.)

  • 6+ years of relevant work / job experience

  • Experience in Program Management, knowledge of contract actions / SOWs / CDRLs and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

  • Ability to manage complex facility and construction efforts and the development of engineering projects.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs the work of teams or task forces conducting comprehensive trade studies, technical projects, and problem resolution.

  • Develop strong working relationships and rapport with subordinate, peer, and management personnel within the home organization and with contemporary organizations and contract partners.

  • This position is located on Kwajalein Island. Housing will be provided.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Army Installation Management activities and responsibilities.

  • Familiarity with U.S. Army regulations, policies and procedures relating to logistics support on Army installations.

  • Experience coordinating and monitoring performance of facilities related maintenance and operations. Knowledge of and experience with the development, qualification and maintenance for the reliability and sustainment of infrastructure supporting radar systems.

  • Understanding of major and minor MILCON project management from Design Charrette through Final Design and the experience to provide insight to stakeholders.

  • Ability to assist the Government during design reviews on design packages for supported projects.

  • Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification.
