Our work depends on a highly capable Force Protection Lead joining our team to work closely with military teams to translate the capabilities of Force Protection Systems to meet their gaps in protective posture. This position requires an individual who has experience in understanding base defense and force protection measures and can work as a highly-functioning team member to bridge the gap between technology and the Soldier. This individual will be expected to thoroughly understand the employment and capabilities of the elevated sensors family of systems to include BETSS-C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP Radio, television, and physical barrier systems located at entry control points and their required stand-off distances to fully protect the US military force.

How a Force Protection Lead will make an impact:

  • Provide Force Protection expertise as member of a survey and design team reviewing new installation requirements at customer locations OCONUS

  • Review Operational Needs Statements for capabilities desired and recommends emplacement of technical equipment to maximize operational capability.

  • Acts as an advisor to Field Support Representatives to resolve gaps in Force Protection Systems

  • Aids Technical Representatives to determine equipment required and justification through feasibility studies

  • Supports using customer unit Force Protection Offices through review of FP plans for emplacement of elevated sensors family of systems to include BETSS-C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television, and other communications and surveillance equipment components. A strong familiarity with FP systems is desired.

  • Supports Survey tracking team with updates on assessments, emplacements, and due-outs

What you will need to succeed:

  • BA/BS + 8-12 years relevant experience (15 years’ experience in lieu of a degree)

  • US Secret Security Clearance Required

  • Possess a military background as a U.S. Army Military Police, Engineer, or sufficient Force Protection background from other services or agencies.

  • Must be a graduate from the U.S. Army Military Police Residence (Level II) “The Force Protection Unit Advisor’s Course” or similar course from other services.

  • Must attend certified training IAW AR 525-13.

  • Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.

  • Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situations

  • Ability to provide Force Protection advice and work as a member of a team to recommend solutions to using military units on site

  • Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience desired

  • Location: On Customer Site

  • Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA as required

  • Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations and be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and may travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
