We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Client Onboarding (Japanese Speaking). (Internal Job Title: Build Management Manager - C13) based in KL, Malaysia. The Build Mgmt Sr Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives client solution delivery & revenue conversion leveraging structured project management techniques. The Implementation team leader is responsible for leading and managing a team of Implementation Managers, reporting directly to the Implementation PMO Functional Head.

  • Involved in defining & executing the TTS Implementation strategy in line with regional & global objectives.

  • Ensure a seamless client on-boarding experience through the application of best in class client implementation methodologies.

  • Effective management of client relationships and development of the team as trusted advisors. Enhanced client satisfaction should be reflected in positive client survey scores & documented during detailed post implementation reviews & case book write ups for future implementation usage & marketing purposes.

  • Maximise Citi’s global network to ensure consistent, best in class solution delivery to our clients across geographies & functions

  • Ensure Prague PMO team consistently delivers against business goals & performance metrics. Deliver revenue conversion & ramp up targets, defined Scorecard KPI’s & “Must Win Battles”.

  • Lead escalation & provide senior support to overcome barriers to client solution delivery.

  • Continuously reduce implementation cycle time, ensuring the team consistently minimizes deal slippage & associated revenue conversion lead time. Accurately report project status, escalating effectively for slow moving projects.

  • Deliver productivity & re-engineering programs to establish a scalable cash and trade implementation model that maximizes skills within the group & removes inefficient processes.

  • People management: ensure effective people management, talent development, retention & succession planning practices are observed.

  • Effective workload management/prioritisation to increase capacity/productivity within the implementation team.

  • Drive cross functional & regional alignment with senior partners across product, client operations, coverage & global organisations.

  • Ensure cost management targets are delivered through tight budgetary discipline & maximization of lower cost locations, automation & outsourced providers.

  • Leverage best practices, operating models & synergies across cash implementation teams to ensure consistent client execution & heightened integration & cooperation across the organization.

  • Maintain disciplined & uniform application of structured project management methodologies within the team, ensuring effective project control, proactive risk identification & remediation and seamless delivery to plan.

  • Ensure strict adherence to defined quality standards & practices outlined in “best practices” collateral. Each team member should consistently achieve “excellent” rating in scheduled quality reviews.

  • Effective maintenance & communication of MIS and project metrics. Provide on-going senior management & stakeholder updates on programs.

  • Lead participation in talent forums, survey processes, VOE, etc.

  • Ensure 100% effective MCA results & support all audit protocols as appropriate.

  • To lead the implementation of complex deals in line with project management methodology and have end to end management of dedicated client deal portfolio enhancing the client on-boarding experience

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience

  • Japanese Language proficiency is must.

  • Excellent risk management orientation.

  • Results orientation

  • Deep understanding of the global Citi network.

  • Experience in client facing roles. Experience operating at a senior (regional/global) management levels. Strategic perspective – record of defining & executing organizational strategy. Leadership & motivational skills – proven record of developing & lead

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
