Description:

You will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations. The Sommelier is responsible for curating wine lists, assisting guests in wine selection, training staff on wine service, and managing wine inventory. The Sommelier's goal is to enhance the dining experience through expert wine pairings and personalized recommendations, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing wine sales.

Qualifications:

• Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.

• Certification from a recognized wine education program, such as the Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), or similar.

• Work experience as a Sommelier or in a similar wine-focused role within hotels or luxury restaurants is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, wine production, and wine and food pairings.

• Good communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
