Hyatt Duty Engineer - Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur in KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia

Description:

You will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations. The Duty Engineer assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department to ensure the smooth functioning of the hotel's facilities and equipment. The Duty Engineer is responsible for supervising the team, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.

  • Ideally with a university degree/diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.

  • Work experience as Duty Engineer or Team Leader - Engineering in the hotel industry is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics with be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in maintenance and repair procedures for various equipment and facilities, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance practices.

  • Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as computer proficiency are essential.
