Unilever Assistant Customer Development (CD) Manager for Ice Cream in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Title: Assistant CD Manager for Ice Cream

Location: Malaysia

Who You Are and What You’ll Do

On board, develop and execute with our customers a customer strategy and customer business plan. Responsible for the achievement of Sales (NIV and Turnover), Market Share and the Profit and Lost (P&L) of his/her customers for the channels as well as for the implementation and the optimisation of the category strategies within the customer. Will be responsible for IC Now regional team management.

Your Role/Key Responsibilities:

Customer Strategy and Business Plan

  • Assist in driving new channels operation excellence.

  • Develop the customer strategic business plan for his/her respective categories and customers by working out a joint customer business plan for his/her respective customers.

  • Strengthen the presence and availability of the new channels nationwide Eg: Pick Up Points (PUPs).

  • Establish strong and sustainable relationships with key customers and distributor managers to solve day-to-day operational issue.

  • Work in close collaboration with the Category and Channel Team for the category and channel input and with customer marketing and brand teams for the specific banner/channel plan.

  • Manage promo investment of the customer, ensuring P&L and trade term structure (TTS) is spent within allocation.

  • Monitor customer performance by tracking customer contribution and market share across channels monthly and/or quarterly.

  • Data churning and analysis to provide accurate business requirements for business review presentations to customers.

  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in the customer.

Plays active ambassador role

  • Acts as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever.

  • Participates actively in internal Unilever meetings and looks at the best solution for the business.

Internal:

  • Customer Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Global IC Now team

External:

  • Key customer buyers, Distributor Partners

    Travel:

50% of the time for travelling within Central.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Experienced in key account management/modern trade/e-commerce.

  • Experienced in FMCG industry.

  • Skilled in developing and implementing customer/channel investment strategy.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skill.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, distributors, and delivering operational excellence.
