The Cell Culture Media Field Application Specialist for Cytiva is responsible to be a technical expert in cell culture manufacturing capabilities and technologies, raw materials characterization and Quality procedures and using this technical knowledge to hold discussion on customer formulations to identify their requirements and ensure this fit within cell culture capabilities.

This position is part of the Commercial Bioprocess Opco located in

4061 Pasching, Kremplstraße 5 / Home Office and will be Fully Remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Primary responsibility is to provide strong technical experience of Hyclone’s Milling technologies and capabilities to develop opportunities. The role will be responsible for presenting the Cell culture Media Equivalency study to current and prospective customers as part of highlighting the investment Cytiva has made in our capabilities and to highlight the impact this has on the security of supply.

  • Utilising your technical knowledge to hold discussion on customer formulations to identify the customer requirements and ensure these requirements fit within cell culture capabilities.

  • Understand the raw material characterisation programme and how this can be utilised to gain contract manufacturing opportunities.

  • A deep understanding of the process for implementing a custom contract manufacturing opportunity; including a strong working with contract review teams, core account teams, MSAT teams to provide the complete customer solution and expertise.

  • Support Account Managers and Sales Specialists across all BioPharma functions to develop and finalize bids/quotes and custom services to meet customer requirements.

  • Work with the cell culture technical manager to implement strategies/campaigns to improve the market share and account expansion. To act as the commercial lead for these strategies ensuring, engagement of other modalities and functions, ad review and report out from these.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A relevant degree in Life Sciences or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline and must have industry experience in cell culture/manufacturing within a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations)

  • Solid problem-solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)

  • Willingness to travel (35% or more) within your specified geographic region and globally to participate in trainings, meetings, and key projects.

  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

  • Additional language skill would be beneficial

The salary range for this role is 62,800.00€ - 109,800.00€. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
