Shell Indirect Tax Specialist with Portuguese in Krakow (City), Poland

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for achieving the following performance-based objectives:
Indirect Tax Compliance and Accuracy
Prepare, review, and deliver timely and accurate indirect tax returns (Mainly related to Brazilian indirect taxes – ICMS, ISS and withholding federal taxes)
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, meeting reporting deadlines, and reducing the risk of financial penalties.
Reconcile VAT and support statutory audits, maintaining complete and accurate records.
Process and System Improvement
Identify opportunities for process optimization within the end-to-end indirect tax workflow.
Actively propose improvements to tax reporting systems, collaborating closely with superusers and internal teams.
Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and implement quick wins for better process efficiency and control.
Error Resolution and Prevention
Conduct control checks to identify transactional errors and anomalies; coordinate with Financial Transaction teams for timely correction.
Ensure all corrections are accurately reflected in SAP to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Support
Provide tax-related guidance and support to internal stakeholders, maintaining clear and professional communication.
Take ownership of assigned tasks, actively engaging with line managers and team members to achieve shared goals.
Deliver expert-level insights, contributing to issue resolution and supporting change management within the team.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and role responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant company standards, policies, and HSSE guidelines.
Professional Development and Team Contribution
Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal and team development by creating a tailored development plan.
Act as a collaborative team player, sharing knowledge, and participating in team meetings.
Take on ad-hoc tasks assigned by line managers to support broader team objectives and personal growth.
Requirements
Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on Brazilian indirect tax compliance.
Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Languages: Fluent in English (B2/C1) and Portuguese C1
