Sr. Training Specialist, Field Service Network

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

This position is responsible for leading the training development and delivery of identified KBNA product categories and processes for the Kohler Partner Network (KPN) of Warranty/Field Service Authorized Service Representatives (ASRs) and Installers. This includes developing and maintaining a comprehensive Partner training program, conducting onboarding training, skillset assessments, in-person and virtual training seminars, and managing ongoing training to support Partner proficiency and retention. This position will support the principles of the Brand Ambassador program to ensure the Partner network provides world-class service while representing the Kohler brand.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive Partner learning roadmap through assessment and linking curricula to required job competencies.

  • Design, develop, deliver, facilitate, implement, and evaluate various training programs and materials for the KPN.

  • Develop various modes of training to meet the KPN needs including blended, in-person, virtual, and e-learning modules.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual training seminars on a broad range of topics including onboarding, system processes, product features and benefits, product installation, product repair, new products, and Kohler Co. history.

  • Assess Partner capabilities within the learning roadmap and set clear plans for Partner to meet training expectations.

  • Take the lead in recommending, developing, and implementing skill gap closures for Partners.

  • Partner with the Field Services & Installation (FS&I) team to develop a learning management system or other portal to deploy and track training.

  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.

  • Deploy and maintain Partner certifications on assigned curriculum.

  • Partner with internal departments (FS&I Team, Technical Support Team, Quality, NPD, CPD, and Product Marketing) to validate training material and to coordinate training presentations.

  • Lead the coordination of on-site training events, management of content, and scheduling presenters/other trainers.

  • Take the lead on selected training programs and projects with limited direction from the Sr. Training Manager – Customer Service and Marketing Manager – FS&I.

  • Partner with FS&I team to develop a Brand Ambassador program specific to the KPN.

  • Continually assess the effectiveness of training programs; identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify new training technologies/trends that could be utilized to improve the KPN training experience.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university required.

  • 5 or more years of experience developing and delivering training classes or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design theory and implementation required.

  • Experience developing training using a variety of on-demand learning tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Snag-it, Lectora, etc.) highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of a learning management system and web delivery tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.) required.

  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).

  • Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently, are essential.

  • Creativity, flexibility, and a high sense of urgency to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment.

  • Previous experience in technical installation and repair training, preferably in the trades or home services industry, is preferred.

  • Travel as needed, up to 10-15%.

  • Hybrid in Kohler, WI - 3 days per week

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $76,050 - $96,050. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
