Opportunity

Kohler Company’s Internal Audit team helps the Company achieve its objectives by partnering with the businesses, performing risk-based audits and sharing an objective assessment of operational, financial, and compliance risks. The Internal Auditor will perform financial, operational, and IT internal audit assignments under the direction of the project lead or Manager – Internal Audit. This role will require working together with other members of the Internal Audit Department in performing larger and complex audits. This role is based in Kohler, Wisconsin. This role will include up to 30% travel to Kohler locations within the Americas region to complete audits.

Specific Responsibilities

As an Internal Auditor, audit assignment responsibilities include:

  • Conducting meetings and interviews with all levels of management and personnel.

  • Gain thorough understanding of business processes for areas under audit.

  • Execute specific audit procedures to accomplish the objectives of the audit to determine whether assets are adequately safeguarded and whether policies, plans, and procedures are complied with and whether management reports are accurate.

  • Thoroughly documenting work performed in the audit workpapers and drawing conclusions based on the results of tests performed.

  • Organizing the audit workpapers in a clear and concise manner and developing audit findings.

  • Presenting audit findings and results to operating personnel and management to verify facts and to ensure that everyone has a thorough understanding of the issue.

  • Communicating effectively with the other audit team member(s) on progress/significant developments and responding to review notes developed by the project lead or the Manager – Internal Audit.

  • Assisting the outside auditors as requested.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting, finance, business administration, computer science, or operations management

  • Accounting or auditing experience is desirable, but not necessary

  • Expected to work towards a professional designation such as CPA, CMA, or CIA

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate the implementation of corrective action

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Data analytics and SAP experience would be a plus

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $62,350 - $77,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
