Lead, support and communicate the product material health and transparency of Kohler’s Kitchen & Bath (K&B) products through various channels. Educate and assist the marketing and communications team as well as customers on transparency labels and product selections for getting the required sustainability related building accreditations or certifications. Make your mark on Kohler Co. and the products we put into the world.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Create Life Cycle Inventories (LCIs) utilizing the resulting in-house data and purchased external datasets to model the environmental impact (footprint) of Kohler products on a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) specific basis.

  • Create Environment Product Declarations (EPDs) from the existing LCI work for K&B products as per the customer demand and sustainability strategy. Update EPDs on Kohler Transparency website on a timely basis.

  • Closely work with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) for drafting and managing Declare labels for K&B and update them on Kohler Transparency website on a timely basis.

  • Develop and improve existing tools and channels that communicate product transparency of K&B products in a manner that enhances value for both Kohler and its customers.

  • Work with Marketing & Communications team to update the transparency labels on Kohler website, frequent asked questions pages for customers and marketing team.

  • Respond to customer requests for special forms and for large projects and review sales force for new requests and transfer information into our tracker spreadsheet. Create response templates, pull product info from Kohler’s database, etc.

  • Communicate with the team regarding customer requests with a high level of knowledge relating to our capabilities.

  • Advocate for sustainability as an innovation and product/brand value tool through direct interaction with channel and channel and digital marketing, training, and support of Kohler sustainability communications efforts.

  • Update memberships/ licenses and contracts related to Product Transparency on a timely basis.

  • Create, implement, record training for sales team and other key stakeholders.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in environmental, materials, chemical, or mechanical engineering discipline preferred.

  • Experience with product transparency document generation, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

  • Knowledge of Product Category Rules (PCR), Environmental Produce Declarations (EPD) and Leaderships in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) desired.

The salary range for this position is $76,050 - $96,050. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
